Rayman Hero Guide: Costumes and Abilities
Rayman is a playable Hero in Rayman in the Phantom Tower, the 3rd DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Read on to learn more about his costumes, unique skills and when he is unlocked in the game.

Rayman Costumes and Abilities

Blaster | 145 - 180 DMG Shoots a single projectile at a single target. When the target is hit there is a chance of stealing coins from them. |
| Plunger Guard | Summons 2 Guards which fire 2 projectiles at any moving targets within range. 5 Guards can be active at the same time. Older guards will be destroyed when newer Guards are summoned or if they run out of charges. | |
Vortex Costume (DMG Resistance) |
Vortex Blaster | 90 - 105 DMG Shoots a single projectile at a single target. When the target is hit they will bounce away 3 - 5 times. The closer the target, the more bounces it inflicts. |
| Vortex Guard | Summons 2 Guards which fire 1 projectile at any moving targets within range, making them bounce away. 5 Guards can be active at the same time. Older guards will be destroyed when newer Guards are summoned or if they run out of charges. | |
| Vortex Pull | Causes damage upon impact while lifting all targets within range and pulling them towards the Hero. Enemies that collide with cover or walls are dealt extra damage. | |
Rocket Costume (Immunity) |
Rocket Blaster | 125 - 145 DMG Shoots a single projectile at a single target. When the target is hit a huge explosion occurs. The farther the target, the bigger the explosion. Ignores partial covers. |
| Rocket Guard | Summons 2 Guards which fire 1 explosive projectile at any moving targets within range. 5 Guards can be active at the same time. Older guards will be destroyed when newer Guards are summoned or if they run out of charges. | |
| Rocket Ride | Summons a remote controlled rocket that can strike targets and destroy cover areas. Will self-destruct if it runs out of fuel. |

| Plunger Guard Range and Cooldown | Rayman's Plunger Guard has longer range and shorter cooldown. |
| Plunger Guard Extra Shoot | Increase the number of projectiles fired by Rayman's Plunger Guard. |
Vortex Skills
| Skill Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Vortex Blaster Bounce + | Rayman's Vortex Blaster will inflict more bounces when it hits an enemy. |
| Vortex Guard Bounce Direction | Rayman's Vortex Guard will bounce an enemy towards the direction of other Guard's close by. |
| Vortex Pull and Splash | Rayman's Vortex Pull will inflict the Splash status effect on any enemies caught by the Vortex. |
Rocket Skills
| Skill Name | Description |

| Rocket Blaster Boost | Rayman's Rocket Blaster damage increases with the number of enemy targets inside the weapon's targeting area. |
| Rocket Guard Number + | Increases the number of Rocket Guards summoned by Rayman. |
| Rocket Ride Burn Effect | The final explosion of Rocket Ride will inflict Burn Super Effect. |
Rayman Unique Moves
Gliding Through Hoops
Rayman can glide through the battlefield by standing near designated hoops and choosing to hook on. He can reach farther areas in a single turn this way.
Punches and Charged Punches
Rayman can break through boxes to obtain coins or reveal objects and jump pads. His charged punches can be used to retrieve objects that are far away even when gliding.
How to Use Rayman
Damage Moving Targets
Rayman's Guard attacks allow him to target enemies who move a lot, like Bravados. He's also able to throw these Guards making them good at covering wider areas and heights.
Damage Targets Behind Partial Covers
Rayman's Rocket costume attacks allows him to target enemies behind partial cover. His Rocket Ride attack can be controlled to damage multiple enemies behind harder to reach areas.
Pull Targets Towards Him
Rayman's Vortex Pull is great at gathering enemies. This makes it easier for Rabbid Mario to attack multiple enemies with his small range.
How to Unlock Rayman
Available from the Start
Rayman is the first playable Hero you obtain during Rayman in the Phantom Show, the 3rd DLC to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, so he has no unlock conditions. You are able to play him from the Prologue Quest of the DLC: Golden Ticket to Fame. During this quest, there are short battles and overworld objectives that introduce his unique abilties.
