| Steps to proceed through A Cold Greeting | |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Defeat the three Sea Stooges using Dashes at the starting area. Use a Team Jump to allow one character to move to the pipe on the right side of the arena. |
| 2 |  Move all Heroes to the pipe on the right. Activate Electroid to defeat the Sea Stooges in this area. Use Cryobolide in case they survive the attack. |
| 3 |  Activate Pyrostar to take out the Lone Wolf at the higher ground. If they survive, perform a Dash or use another Hero to attack. |
| 4 |  Depending on the Heroes you've picked, you can proceed to the next pipe or wait for the enemies to go to your area. If you brought close-range fighters like Rabbid Mario or Peach, you can head to the next pipe and defeat the enemies there. |
| 5 |  A black hole will appear once you have cleared the arena of enemies. Be sure to move away from it as they spawn more Sea Stooges that can Dash towards you and inflict Splash Super Effect. |

| Use Rabbid Mario as your main attacker for this battle quest as his weapon ignores partial covers and hits multiple times. Take advantage of Electrodash's skill, allowing you to perform a Shock-powered Dash that can defeat the Sea Stooges easily. | |

Set up a Team Barrier on the first turn to minimize damage taken from the Sea Stooges. Be sure to also have the Barrier Jump Assist unlocked as this allows her to give one charge of Barrier to the Hero who assists her. Activate Ethering to prevent her from getting attacked during the enemy's turn and use Cryobolide to prevent the Sea Stooges from moving. |

How to Unlock A Cold Greeting
Complete Icy Breath of Winter Battle Quest
After completing Icy Breath of Winter, head inside the palace with Capt. Orion until you find the Darkmess Puddle. Interact with the puddle to start the battle.
This battle quest is part of The Winter Palace main story quest.
