A total of 9 brand new weapons make an appearance in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (Mario Rabbids 2). Continue reading to learn more about the weapon used by each Hero, their stats and effects, as well as how to use them and equip weapon skins!

A total of 9 new weapons are available in in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, one for each of the 9 heroes in the game. Their effects determine how you use each Hero, adding a variety of strategies during combat.
Weapon | Hero | Effect |
---|---|---|
Boom-Brella | Peach | Bursts one wave at the targets. The farther the targets, the less damage it deals. Ignore Partial Cover. |
Bowzooka | Bowser | Fires one exploding projectile that deals damage throughout the target area. Ignores Partial Cover. |
Discruptor | Rabbid Luigi | Throws one disc that can hit up to 3 targets sequentially. Ignores Partial Cover. |
Dual Slinger | Mario | Fires two projectiles, either at one target or two separate ones. Confirm the first target to select a second. |
Flying Blade | Edge | When thrown at an enemy, it ignores Partial Cover while hitting multiple targets along the way before coming back. |
Kaboomer | Rabbid Rosalina | Launches several projectiles towards the same target, breaking down any destructible Cover in their way. |
Sharpshooter | Luigi | Fires one projectile. The farther the target, the more damage it deals. |
The Dukes | Rabbid Mario | Unleashes 3 waves at the same targets, hitting any other targets inside each wave's area. Movement phase does not end after use. |
Triple-Troll | Rabbid Peach | Fires three projectiles with a curved trajectory at a single target. Ignores Partial Cover. |
Despite their appearance in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Heroes are no longer are able to equip secondary weapons. The ability to change the main weapon that each uses also seems to no longer be available.
All New and Returning Features
The weapon of each character is assigned to the ZR button while in combat. After pressing the ZR button, you will need to aim your weapon at a specific target using the Left Control Stick. Once a target has been selected, you can fire your weapon by pressing A.
List of Controls and How to Change Mapping
You can customize the appearance of your weapon using weapon skins that you can purchase from shops or earn from quests. There are certain weapon skins that are also unlocked by pre-odering the game or getting the gold edition.
Weapon skins have not been confirmed to provide any additional benefits in combat, so they are likely purely cosmetic.

To upgrade the stats and other abilities of your weapon, you'll need to use Skill Prisms to invest in certain skills in your Skill Tree. If you ever change your mind about getting a skill, you can always remove skills to refund your Skill Prisms.
