| Steps to proceed through Dr. Vent's Frozen Oddity | |

| 1 |  Head to the quest marker on the map south of the Winter Palace. Talk to Dr. Vent to start the side quest. |
| 2 |  Head inside the igloo and use Beep-0's Wave ability to lower the block. |
| 3 |  Proceed to the next area and make your way to the top of the cave to find the Darkmess Puddle and the battle quest, Catch Your Breath. |
| Steps to proceed through Catch Your Breath | |

| 1 |  Catch Your Breath (Battle Quest) This battle quest requires you to activate all the switches in each area to move the Bob-omb towards the Darkmess Gate. Use a Hero with an upgraded Movement Range to speed up this battle. |
| 2 |  Defeat the Sea Stooges in each area to prevent yourself from getting Splashed by their attacks. Getting splashed may increase the chances of your hero landing near the Deep Freezes or in the direction of the gust, making the battle more diffucult. |
| 3 |  Once you have a Bob-omb near the Darkmess Gate, use a long-range character like Edge or Luigi to detonate it. The explosion will cause an area-wide attack, which will also damage the Darkmess Gate. |

Use Luigi to defeat the Sea Stooges in each area. Activate either the Electroid and Electrodash to deal extra damage if needed. If you have unlocked the High Ground skill, have him stay at the second area to fend off any approaching Sea Stooges from below. |

Use Edge as your secondary attacker to take out any surviving Sea Stooges. If you have unlocked the Glide Boost skill, you can can Team Jump to bring her near the Darkmess Gate once a Bob-omb is in place to detonate it and win the battle. |

Set up a Team Barrier on the first turn to minimize damage taken from the Sea Stooges and Deep Freezes. Be sure to also have the Barrier Jump Assist unlocked as this allows her to give one charge of Barrier to the Hero who assists her. Activate Ethering to prevent her from getting attacked during the enemy's turn. |
