Head to the quest marker on the map south of the Winter Palace. Talk to Dr. Vent to start the side quest.

Head inside the igloo and use Beep-0's Wave ability to lower the block.

Proceed to the next area and make your way to the top of the cave to find the Darkmess Puddle and the battle quest, Catch Your Breath.

Catch Your Breath (Battle Quest)
This battle quest requires you to activate all the switches in each area to move the Bob-omb towards the Darkmess Gate. Use a Hero with an upgraded Movement Range to speed up this battle.

Defeat the Sea Stooges in each area to prevent yourself from getting Splashed by their attacks. Getting splashed may increase the chances of your hero landing near the Deep Freezes or in the direction of the gust, making the battle more diffucult.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope - Catch Your Breath Walkthrough Step 3
Once you have a Bob-omb near the Darkmess Gate, use a long-range character like Edge or Luigi to detonate it. The explosion will cause an area-wide attack, which will also damage the Darkmess Gate.

Be sure to also have the Barrier Jump Assist unlocked as this allows her to give one charge of Barrier to the Hero who assists her. Activate Ethering to prevent her from getting attacked during the enemy's turn.
