| 1. Defeat the Darkmess Puddle |
| Clear the Blocked Rabbid Pipe | |

| 1 |  Go to the indicated location. To get there, head towards Beacon City and head east of it until you see an arch exit. Run further and you should see a ladder that can be dropped down. |
| 2 |  Walk past the blocked pipes to get a Yellow Cube lying in the sand. Then walk back along the shore, past the pipes to find the receptacle for the cube in a rocky alcove. Enter the pipes. |
| 3 |  It will take you up the wooden platform, where you can use a ladder to get on top of a wooded path. Get the lone coin to summon a track of coins. |
| 4 |  The end of the track of coins will take you to the quest area. Drop down and interact with the Darkmess Puddle to start the quest. |
| Destroy the Darkmess Eye | |

| 1 |  After the quest, exit the area by using the egg to destroy the Darkmess Eye that blocks your path. |

Enemies in this area start far away from you, most of them behind cover. That's why Luigi's Sharpshooter weapon, partnered with his Steely Stare, can destroy them easily. Use him to snipe the far-away Stooges that can wreak havoc on your team. Always remember to activate Starburst at the start of a battle so your party can all benefit from its effects. |

The tough Rabbid Mario is your go-to damage dealer. His area-based attacks can obliterate Goombas who like to get up close and in a line. When Stooges get too close, use your Toxiquake's Shockwave Ooze to wipe them out! |

Edge's Flying Blade is another good tool to wipe out mobs of enemies, especially Goombas. Use it with Pyrostar's Burn Attack to not only clear out enemies close to each other but also have them run around, spreading the status. |
