Move Away from the Enemies

FF7 How to Flee
Running away from the enemies directly is the only way to actually flee from battles in the game. Enemies you escaped from will return to their previous posts so you can either heal yourselves up with potions or find a different route to avoid conflict.

How to Know if Fleeing was Successful

Check the Fleeing Text

A red text at the top of the screen will appear whenever the character is fleeing. Always check if the text is showing itself to confirm if the path you're taking is an escape route.
