I bet the creators did play the game, skill master makes only sense if you use refocus, coz the 3 different atb actions should not interrupted by an simple attack and since you cannot have 3 atb charges without refocus, sometimes I wonder who makes those guides
Thanks to whoever came up with this strategy and guide. I was using the powerpyx YT one for almost a whole year and finally did it this weekend last. Got it after about 5 more tries here, probably I had 20 hours or more just on this challenge prior to reading this. Thank you!
Equipped headband to Cloud and Tifa, putting fire + elemental to clouds armour and ice + elemental to Tifa's. Use Aerith to heal all with magnify and curaga. Also thunder to Aerith for pride and joy. use manawall to protect all charaters throughout Bahamut, heal with aerith straight after mega flare. Use cloud to take down ifrit as he will be immune. Use haste throughout all battles, especially Tifa using her combos to stagger. Attack pride and joy from behind to avoid big attacks.
Pride and joy is not that hard to defeat. I had more trouble trying to beat bahamut + ifrit. So what I did was put fire + elemental on cloud so when PJ use the flame attack, Cloud absorbed the fire and kept on hitting it.
Hojo is not the maker for sure cause we all know that his pride and joy is the white haired guy.

Lmaoo. Just how u should handle an elemental boss. Anyway. His name says prototype so I think this guy will make a return in future installments of the game.
I beat shiva with ease I had a fully levelled elemental materia equipped with ice on clouds armor. Absorbed everything shiva had to through at me.
The accessory partnered by a first strike materia means you can launch a command (preferably a move that can increase the enemy's focus gauge) then follow it up with a limit for a potential insta stagger or insta kill move.
wonder where the pride and joy comes from? i can understand the "pride" part but he doesn't look like joyful, it's scary...

Yep, no items and even if you could the item Materia is still garbage since you could simply farm the whack a box mini-game for moogle medals and use those to get elixirs.

why would you recommend item master on cloud when you can't use items on hard mode?
Is this guy the strongest boss in the remake or is there someone else?
If there's no ribbon in part 1 then I guess this really is the best accessory. And I thought Shiva is hard already then square gives us this.
