This is a guide for Battle Flags and Marking Flags in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Read on to learn the Battle Flag and Marking Flag Difference, and all the effects of each flag.
List of Contents
While Battle Flags are large and conspicuous, Marking Flags are small and hard to find.
Resting is only available for Battle Flags, and not Marking Flags. All the benefits of resting, such as respawning enemies and accessing all the options in the Battle Flag menu are not available to Marking Flags.
When you plant a Marking Flag, you only restore your health; your Dragon Cure Pot doesn't get refilled unlike when you plant a Battle Flag.
How to Upgrade and Refill the Dragon Cure Pot
When you die, you'll respawn at the last Battle Flag you visited, regardless of whether you planted a Marking Flag recently.
When you plant a Battle Flag, your Fortitude Rank increases by 1. Increasing your Fortitude Rank is useful since it makes dying and getting hit by Critical Blows less punishing.
Morale and Fortitude Effects and How to Increase
When you rest a Battle Flag or plant one, your game autosaves and registers that Battle Flag as the place where you'll respawn at when you die.
Resting at or planting a Battle Flag fully restores your health and refills your Dragon Cure Pot.
How to Upgrade and Refill the Dragon Cure Pot
When you rest at a Battle Flag, all non-boss enemies will respawn at the level. This is useful for grinding or farming enemies.
However, this effect does not trigger when the Battle Flag is planted; this will only happen when you rest.
You can spend Genuine Qi to improve your attributes in this menu.
How to Level Up Fast
Here, you can prepare for battle by setting your Divine Beast, change your equipment/attribute loadout, and customize the appearance of your Battle Flag.
In this menu, you can learn new Wizardry Spells as well as set the ones you have equipped.
List of Wizardry Spells
This menu allows you to buy and sell items. You can restock your ammunition or sell items that you no longer need at a Battle Flag.
How to Buy and Sell Items
This opens the map and allows you to visit battlefields that you have visited before. Note that your Morale Rank will reset and all bosses will respawn if you leave the current battlefield.
You can access the online multiplayer here. You can fight enemies in PvP, or recruit or join other players to fight enemies together.
Multiplayer Guide
In this menu, you'll be able to use Tiger Seals to recruit Companions, who will join you in combat to fight enemies and apply buffs and other effects.
This is the menu where you can receive add-ons as well as gifts from other players.
Just like Battle Flags, planting Marking Flags also raises the Fortitude Rank by 1. While Marking Flags are harder to find and provide fewer benefits, it's still useful to find them for the Fortitude Rank.
The only other benefit that a Marking Flag provides is to restore health when it gets planted. Since Marking Flags can't be rested at, this will only trigger once.
Unlike Battle Flags, your Dragon Cure Pot won't get refilled when you plant a Marking Flag.
