Unlike some other games in its genre, you can jump in this game. Simply press the Jump Button (the default controls for the respective platforms are listed above) to jump.
There is also a Double Jump in this game! After pressing the Jump button to jump, press the Jump button again shortly to perform the Double Jump.
The simplest use for jumping is for exploration. You can reach higher places or cross gaps while jumping.
Don't forget that you have a double jump! Some trickier collectibles can only be reached by double jumping. Cliffs and walls that are covered by white chalk can be climbed by double jumping.
To perform a Jump Attack, jump then press the attack button while in midair. Jump attacks have advantages and disadvantages over regular ground attacks; explore which is effective with your playstyle with the weapons you have.
This also applies to some Martial Arts; some Martial Arts change when done in midair.
Trample is when you jump on an enemy to jump again. To do this, jump towards the top of an enemy, then press Jump again; this will make your character use the enemy as platform to jump from.
Trampling is useful when surrounded by a group of smaller enemies, or a setup for a high jump attack.
One of the ways to perform a sneak attack Fatal Strike is to sneakily approach an enemy at a higher place, then attack while going down. Fights become easier with Fatal Strikes; a lot of weaker opponents can be killed from full health with one Fatal Strike.
How to Do a Sneak Attack
Jumping can also be useful to avoid certain attacks. Sweeping low attacks by bosses that are much harder to dodge with the Dodge move can be jumped over instead.
