Equipment pieces with higher rarities will get more special effect slot. 1 start equipment will have 1 special effect slot while a 5 star equipment will have 5 special effect. Accessories have 2 special effects for 1 star equipment and 6 maximum slots for 5 star rarities.
All equipment in the game have their own stats that can only be changed via upgrades from the Blacksmith. While there are special effects that can affect the stats of the weapon, this is not the case for the equipment's rarity itself.
Weapons will naturally have 1 Martial art for 1-2 star rarities. However, when a weapon hits a rarity of 3 or higher, the number of martial arts for that weapon gets increased by 1 for a maximum of 2 martial arts!
All weapons will have their own respective stat scaling which can also be increased by upgrading the weapon. However, rarity will not have an effect to the weapon's stat scaling.
Higher luck will increase the rate of drops from enemies. Luck cannot be increased through leveling your stats and is instead, increased by equipping gear with luck bonuses in them.
Enemies with higher Morale will prove to be more difficult than enemies with lower one. They will deal higher damage and will need to take more damage before you can defeat them. In exchange, these enemies have a higher tendency of dropping rare equipment so if you are well prepared or near a battle flag, attempting to best these mighty foes may prove beneficial in the long run.
