Cheng Pu Movesets

Critical Blows

Rotating Thrust

Cheng Pu rotates his spear above his head before thrusting it towards the player.

Spear Vault

Cheng Pu stabs his spear into the ground and uses is to launch himself skyward before swinging his spear downwards at the player.

Spear Slam Combo

This combo begins with a horizontal spear swipe which then goes into a jumping spear rotation.

Huang Gai Movesets

Critical Blows

Jumping Slash

Huang Gai performs an upwards slash while jumping into the air and follows up this attack with a second downwards slash.

Spinning Slash

Huan Gai brandishes his blades and performs consecutive spinning attacks while moving towards the player.

Cross Slash

Huang Gai crouches and jumps towards the player and then executes a pair of slashes in a crossing motion.

Han Dang Movesets

Rotating Thrust

Similar to Cheng Pu's Rotating Thrust, Han Dang rotates his guandao above his head before attempting to thrust it into the player.

Rising Slash

Han Dang uses the upwards momentum of a slash to rise into the air and execute a downwards slash.

How to Beat Cheng Pu, Huang Gai, and Han Dang (General Tips)

Use Enhanced Defense Wizardry

During this match, there are three different opponents who can possibly chain-flinch you to death. Having Earth Defense active for the duration of this battle will make dealing with these three bosses much more manageable.

One At A Time

This battle can be made much easier by focusing down each boss before turning your attention to the next. The order in which you execute this strategy playes a lesser role, however we recommend Huang Gai → Cheng Pu → Han Dang.

Utilize The Nearby Rocks

There are some rocks near the banner that you could circle around to get the bosses to fall in line, temporarily turning this battle into a 1v1.

Keep All Three of Them On-Screen

The chances of one of them attempting a backstab rises if you allow any of them to move off-screen.

Play Defensively

Each member of the three bosses is proficient in defending and evading attacks. While your focus is on one of them, the other two will land attacks on you.

Instead of attacking aggressively, focus on countering their critical blows and punishing attacks accordingly.
