Hua Xiong First Phase Movesets

Normal Attacks

Spear Jab

Hua Xiong runs towards the player and very quickly jabs his spear at the player.

Three-Hit Combo

Hua Xion begins this attack string with a spear thrust, and then goes into a spear swing, and then finishes with a downwards strike.

Critical Blows

Spear Twirl → Jump Smash

Hua Xiong twirls his spear infront of him as he charges at the player. He then leaps into the air to perform a downwards aerial attack.

How to Beat Hua Xiong (General Tips)

Anticipate Jump Smash

Successfully deflecting Spear Twirl will not stop Hua Xiong from attempting to use Jump Smash immediately after. Don't get your guard down even after parrying Spear Twirl.

Keep your Morale Rank close to 20

Placing Battle Flags and Marker Flags outside of Hua Xiong's arena will only bring your Morale Rank to 17. Try to get it higher by defeating surrounding enemies before challenging Hua Xiong.

Start the battle with an Aerial Attack

You can begin the encounter against Hua Xiong with an Aerial Attack. Utilize this to get free damage before beginning your duel with Hua Xiong.
