Movesets

Normal Attacks

Spear Thrust

Bo Cai thrusts at the player with his spear. This attack is sometimes followed by another attack.

Critical Blows

Spear Twirl

Bo Cai twirls his spear above his head in preparation for a horizontal sweep attack.

Rising Slam

Bo Cai jams his weapon into the ground and uses it as a polevault to launch himself upwards before performing a downwards slam.

How to Beat Bo Cai (General Tips)

Defeat His Allies First

Bo Cai will have two allies with him when you reach his arena. Focus on defeating them before turning your attention to Bo Cai.

Lure His Allies Away From Him

Bo Cai has two enemies that you need to defeat first on a one-on-one battle. Lure him to the entrance of the cave where he was and drop down from the step. This allows you to defeat the other two enemies first as Bo Cai will not come down the steps.

Bo Cai is Prone to Flinching

Unless Bo Cai is performing a critical blow, successfully deflecting Bo Cai's attacks leaves him open to your attacks. We recommend hitting him with a string of attacks and finishing with a spirit attack before backing off and preparing yourself for his next set of attacks.
