The ranking above weighs ease of use as the most important factor, with abilities and specific attacks of the weapon also playing a role. This is our walkthrough team's personal opinion, so keep in mind that it may vary from those of others.

Skill is the most important factor

In the end, the point which has the largest effect on your damage is your skill in playing the game. Every weapon has strong points and weak points, and when fighting bosses and enemies, your play skill is what will matter, so the best thing you can do is to choose the weapon you like and try to master it.

Straight Sabre Rating and Explanation

The Straight Sabre is fast and overall capable in all areas, making it a good and easy to use weapon. That said, there isn't much that stands out about it either, making it a simple and safe choice for beginners.

Sword Rating and Explanation

The Sword, like the Straight Sabre, is fast and has little delay after each attack, making it easy to use. It also has a high Spirit Attack stat, but on the other end, its Attack Power is a bit low.

Curved Sabre Rating and Explanation

The Curved Sabre is fast and easy to use, making the Spirit Gauge easy to charge. However, its range, Attack Power, and Spirit stats are all low. It's easy for enemies to guard against its attacks, so you'll need to use Martial Arts during combos to pierce through their guard.

The Staff is fast, and swinging repeatedly will charge the Spirit gauge quickly. It can also cut down enemies' Spirit gauge quickly with its high Spirit Attack, and it doesn't consume much Spirit when Deflecting, so it's a versatile weapon overall.

The Dual Swords have a higher hit rate than other weapons, making the Spirit Gauge charge quickly. However, they have a low Attack Power overall, and enemies can guard them easily. That said, they don't consume much Spirit when Deflecting, so you can stay close to enemies and continue attacking while Deflecting counterattacks, making them extremely powerful once you get the hang of using them.

Dual Sabres Rating and Explanation

Dual Sabres are very similar to Dual Swords in that they hit multiple times, and can charge the Spirit Gauge quickly. They are a more extreme version in that they consume the Spirit Gauge even less than Dual Swords when Deflecting, but have slightly lower Attack Power.

The Dual Halberds, like the Dual Swords, hit multiple times and charge the Spirit Gauge quickly, but also have the advantage of a higher Attack Power and Spirit stats, giving them a better balance overall.

Glaive Rating and Explanation

The Glaive has fast swings and a long reach, making it an easy to use weapon. It also boasts high Attack Power and Spirit stats, giving it a solid balance. However, its attack motions are longer than other weapons, with some delay afterwards, leaving the player vulnerable. When using the Glaive, you'll need to time attacks carefully and can't simply spam hits.

Halberd Rating and Explanation

The Halberd can hit a wide area with each attack, making it useful for fights against multiple enemies. You can hold two weapons, so it's good to have as a secondary weapon when encountering a group of enemies. Hammer Rating and Explanation

The Hammer can deal heavy damage with a single blow, and it also has high Spirit Attack and Spirit Defense stats. It can be a bit difficult to use when starting out, but it does have high damage making it strong when used well.

Poleaxe Rating and Explanation
