Players will be able to embed weapon effects by going to Embedment when talking to Zhu Xia. The only way to embed weapons is to through the blacksmith.

Players must choose the weapon they want to embed a weapon effect on. Depending on the rarity, players have a limited amount of weapon effects they can slot into a weapon.
Adding weapon effects using embedment costs both Jewel Fragments and Coppers. Players can also salvage weapon effects from open slots to add new ones.
Physical Effects from embedment boost physical damage done to enemies. Physical effects can add bonus damage depending on the weapon used, the type of enemy being dealt damage to, and even heal the user per attack.
Physical weapon effects are represented by the Red Triangle Icon.
Spirit effects used on weapons can increase spirit damage, spirit gained, and deflect spirit consumption.
Spirit effects are represented by the Shield Icon.
Elemental effects can vary from elemental attacks like lightning, stone, ice, and toxin attacks to effects that heal status effects.
Elemental effects are represented by a circle.
Special embedments require players to own the enchantments before they can slot the embedments in the weapon.
Keep in mind that these embedments are consumable, unlike regular weapon effects. Players will have to collect another enchantment if they want to slot them in another weapon.

Why can some enchantments be applied to some weapons but not others? Are they weapon class specific? E.G flame enchant for a sword can't be used for a hammer
