Normal Attacks

Cane Swing

Zhang Jiao quickly swings his cane in a wide arc, even hitting targets that are positioned behind him.

Scratch

Zhang Jiao quickly swipes at the player with his left hand.

Sand Wave

Zhang Jiao summons waves of sand that spread outwards from him. These waves lower your morale, but deal no damage to your HP.

Thunder Cards

An attack that calls down cards around Zhang Jiao. These cards then summon threads of lightning that deal damage around Zhang Jiao.

Sand Beam

Zhang Jiao crouchess downwards before breathing a far-reaching stream of sand that slowly sweeps across the direction he's facing.

Critical Blows

Cane Slam

Zhang Jiao grips his cane in both hands while raising it above himself befores slamming it back down.

Claw Thrust

Zhang Jiao thrusts his clawed left arm towards the player.

Spike Sphere

Zhang Jiao conjures a spiked-sphere that flies towards the player. This attack is primarily used when there's distance between himself and the player.

How to Beat Zhang Jiao, General of Heaven (General Tips)

Stay behind him

Use your allies to draw Zhang Jiao's attention while you land attacks on him from behind. Just be wary of his AoE attacks as you punish.

Be wary of AoE attacks

Both Thunder Cards and Sand Wave reach behind Zhang Jiao. These attacks are usually lead by Zhang Jiao twirling his cane above his head.

Punish Sand Beam

During this attack, Zhang Jiao becomes animation locked until the attack is finished. Take this opportunity to get some damage in!
