The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass All Flag Locations

Battle Flag 1

①	The first Battle Flag can be found on the left of the entrance of the camp.

Marking Flag 1

①	Continue forward then drop down to the lower part of the camp.
②	Proceed to the leftmost tent, the first Marking Flag will be inside.

Marking Flag 2

①	Exit the camp through the gate on the left then take the path on the right going up.
②	Drop down from the cliff then continue heading right.
③	Keep following the path then turn right when you reach the area with the enemy wielding an axe.
④	Continue on the path until you locate the second Marking Flag.

Battle Flag 2

①	Head back the path you just walked on and climb the ledge on your right.
②	Continue straight to the entrance that curves a bit to the right.
③	Enter the camp and raise the second Battle Flag.

Marking Flag 3

①	After raising the Flag, turn around and exit through the gate.
②	Climb on top of the ledge then drop down the ledge to the right.
③	The third Marking Flag will be on your right, in front of the sharp wooden fence.

Marking Flag 4

①	Climb back up then drop down. Proceed on the path to the left.
②	Jump over the ledge on the left. Keep going straight then when you reach the main road, turn left.
③	Turn left again and you should see a broken bridge and across it is a flag next to a tiger.
④	Jump over then raise the fourth Marking Flag.

Battle Flag 3

①	After raising the fourth Marking Flag, drop down the cliff and proceed through the trenches.
②	Once you reach the wooden scaffolding that isn't broken, use it to climb to the top of the trench.
③	The third Battle Flag will be on your right.

Marking Flag 5

①	Proceed through the wooden bridge across in front.
②	Enter the camp and climb up the large wooden structure.
③	Jump over to the lower wooden structure on the right then raise the fifth Marking Flag.

Marking Flag 6

①	Drop down from where you raised the fifth Marking Flag then head left passed the enemy with a hammer.
②	Drop down to the right of the cliff then climb the ledge.
③	Continue a little bit more then raise the sixth Marking Flag.

Battle Flag 4

①	Climb back up and enter through the gate where the enemy with the hammer was.
②	Proceed to the right then climb up the tall wooden structure partially on fire.
③	Once you get to the top, enter through the house on the right.
④	Climb the ladder near the enemy with a spear.
⑤	You can raise the fourth Battle Flag after climbing the top of the ladder.

Battle Flag 5

①	Drop down from the house then make your way to the opposite house.
②	Proceed on the path to the right of the house.
③	At the end of house, there will be an area with enemies. At this point, you have the option to drop down on the right and fight Hua Xiong.
④	Defeat the enemies then raise the fifth Battle Flag.

Marking Flag 7

①	Head back to the house from earlier where you raised Battle Flag 4.
②	Drop down from the ballista near the house and raise the seventh Marking Flag.

Battle Flag 6

①	Drop down then head to the battlefield in the middle.
②	Defeat Hua Xiong then raise the sixth Battle Flag.
③	After raising the last flag, enter through both sets of double doors. Finish the cutscene to begin the boss fight with Lu Bu.

The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass Collectibles

Dragon Vein Essence Location

In the camp where Battle Flag 2 is located, use the ballista to shoot the wooden scaffolding across the road. Head to said scaffolding and open the chest at the top to get the Dragon Vein Essence.

Golden Cicada Shell Location

The location for the Golden Cicada Shell in this mission can be found on the opposite side of the trenches on your way to Battle Flag 3.

Shitieshou Location

The Shitieshou can be found on the floor before you climb the ladder to get to Battle Flag 4.

Tablet Location 1

The first tablet, Sun Jian Soldier's Letter, can be found inside the tent in front of the camp where Battle Flag 2 is located.

Tablet Location 2

The second tablet, Coalition General's Diary, can be found near Battle Flag 6.

The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass Strategies and Tips

Beware of Camouflaged Enemies

The snowy mountain environment might get confusing as there are enemies that seamlessly blend into the backgroud. Take note of this and be aware of potential enemies waiting to attack.

Avoid Burning Arrows

Due to the nature of the battlefield, there will be burning arrows shot at you. Be aware of your position at all times and constantly move around especially if you aren't behind any cover.

Use Ballistas to Break Structures

There will be ballistas positioned in many areas of this mission. While not all wooden structures can be broken, you can use this to break through some structures as there are loot hidden behind them.

The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass Boss Guides

Hua Xiong

Players can take on Hua Xiong from the start of the mission. Do note that Hua Xiong has a Morale Rank of 20 so if you choose to take him early on, it could prove to be a tough battle. Players may also opt to raise flags and raise their Morale before fighting Hua Xiong.

Lu Bu

Lu Bu will attack differently depending on whether he is on riding the horse or just on the ground. In any case, you can defeat him by deflecting his attacks as well as taking the time to learn his attack patterns and playing around them.
