MementoMori's unity is one of the strongest guilds in World 12. Read on to find out who they are, how strong they are, and what tips they have for newcomers to the game.

unity Basic Info

With more than 10 billion BP, unity is World 12's strongest guild. Game8 spoke with its guild master, かすみ (or Kasumi), for their word on how unity came to be, why they keep playing the game, as well as their advice for new players.

How unity Got Started

When World 12 was first made, unity was already there as one of its earliest guilds acording to かすみ. In those early days, unity was fighting against a stronger a stronger guild called Florgie.

"We eventually beat them when we started getting stronger players," they said. "We got so many that we had to make a sister guild, which I eventually led named 'Justice', and we merged back together for the first Grand Battle."

かすみ themselves, meanwhile, had been playing MementoMori since around its launch in 2022. "Maybe a week or two after it launched," they said. "I decided I messed up my rolls and moved to W7, and then realized I made some bad choices there too."

But bad gacha pulls didn't get the guild master down. "I wanted to play more worlds and came to W12 when it opened, and figured out how to actually play once I got here."

The State of World 12

Why should new players come to World 12? When asked how they found the state of World 12, かすみ said, "It feels really healthy still, I think it might be one of the most healthy for PVE and PVP on the NA side."

As of this writing, unity holds 8 of 21 positions on World 12's Guild Battle Map, meaning a good majority of it is still up for grabs between smaller guilds.

かすみ explained that unity isn't too active on purpose. "We keep that rather stagnant on purpose so that we don’t burn out our members with the constant stress it can cause." Grand Battle, on the other hand, is treated more seriously as it’s "too useful" for unity to remain passive.

In light of this, Game8 asked the guild master why they'd kept playing MementoMori all this time. For かすみ and many others, the game's appeal lay in its characters and music. But it’s the game's community aspect that kept them coming back.

When asked if they've ever thought of quitting, they said, "A few times, but that was mostly due to bad RNG on rolls and feeling like I wasn’t helping my guild enough."

Ultimately, かすみ realized that her presence alone helped, especially during Grand Battle: "Without the community interaction, it would get pretty rough, and I figure most would not stick around."

Tips for New Players

When asked if they had any tips for new players, かすみ said MementoMori is an idle game at heart. "Don’t get discouraged from slow progress. Any progress is a good thing, even if you’re not clearing stages, you’re gaining strength to progress at a later point."

Free-to-play and low-spending players meanwhile should seek more advice before they spend on a particular witch. "I watched quite a few people spend ineffectively and get frustrated and quit," かすみ said.

However, they should not stress bad rolls either."You can always reroll or move to another world like I did to try again." かすみ said their pull strategy is simple: Pull a single copy of the character for their image and songs, and then ask around if they're worth investing in with more resources.

While unity isn’t actively advertising, かすみ noted, "We’re always recruiting, which I bet everyone says."

If you want a guild that's reasonably chill in between grand battles in an active world with many other guilds, unity may be the guild for you. If you're a beginner, take かすみ's words to heart - don't be discouraged by slow progress, lean on the friends you make through the game, and always strive to learn and improve.
