There are a total of 227 Collectibles in TLoU2, and 235 collectibles if you include Training Manuals.

If you want to check your current number of collectibles gathered, you can check it on the Chapter Screen by accessing it from the Main Menu.

You can also toggle on the Collectible Tracking option in the HUD Options screen to help you know if you have previously gathered a collectible you encountered.

List of Collectibles

There are four main types of collectibles in Last of Us 2, which have fixed locations. In addition, Training Manuals show up in specific spots, but will show up elsewhere if missed.

Artifacts

These are essentially notes and documents that you find throughout the game, which give more insight into the lore of The Last of Us 2.

Unlike other collectibles, these actually serve an important role, as they allow you to unlock new Upgrade Branches. Also, while they do have fixed locations that they will always show up in, they will show up later on in a different spot if left behind.
