A weapon for advanced players who like to gain buffs when at a disadvantage

While this weapon has pretty awful attack and magic attack stats that cannot be upgraded, its strength lies in the ability to deliver devastating critical hits when Cloud's HP gets low. To use it effectively, you'll need to upgrade these skills and allow enemies to deal some damage to you to get you into that range.
All of the Critical Hit rate/damage related skills, as well as luck are what you'll want to upgrade first. After that, this weapon needs some materia slots, given that it has none by default. After getting these upgrades, get the other upgrades that give buffs at low HP, then limit break and other offensive buffs. Any excess SP can be spent on defensive skills or HP. Reprieve is also a great skill for this weapon, but it cannot be learned until weapon level 6.

I fully upgrade both luck Materia and apply to Nail Bat for insane critical hit rate. HP plus combined with the extra HP. Chakra Materia for excellent one on one. This weapon is deadly in the right hands.

I want to know everyone’s best load out for hard mode. I want to try it even though I’m only level 40.
