How to Get Orichalcum

Get the Faded Blade

Dragonlord

The Faded Blade is given to you by the Dragonlord's Great-Grandson when you first reach the Dragonlord's Castle. This will be important later on as you'll need this to forge Erdrick's Sword.

Who is the Dragonlord's Great-Grandson?

Talk to the Swordsmith in Kol

Kol Blacksmith
Head to the second floor of Kol's Weapon and Armor Shop and speak with the descendant of the Legendary Swordsmith. This starts the event to create the Erdrick's Sword.

Obtain the Ultimate Key

Ultimate Key

The Ultimate Key can be obtained later in the endgame at Rendarak Shrine. Speak with the priest inside the building to receive the key, which opens green treasure chests and doors.

How to Get the Ultimate Key and Where to Use It

Speak to the Scholar in Cantlin

Scholar

Go to the second floor of the Guardian’s House west of Cantlin and speak with the scholar. You will need the Ultimate Key to open the door to his room and triggering this conversation.

Ask the Prisoner in Tantegel About Orichalcum

Prisoner

Speak with the prisoner on the second floor of the church in Tantegel. He will provide a hint on where to find Orichalcum.

Head southwest of Tantegel to reach the Craggy Cave. Navigate through the first basement floor, then proceed to the second basement floor.

Examine the sparkle to obtain Orichalcum, then return to Kol and visit the swordsmith to complete the event.

What to Do With Orichalcum

Exchange for Erdrick's Sword

Erdrick

Bring the Orichalcum to Kol’s Swordsmith along with the Faded Blade to forge the Erdrick's Sword.

This is the Hero’s strongest weapon, making Orichalcum an essential item for endgame combat.

How to Get Erdrick's Equipment Set

Talk to Key NPCs and Get the Faded Blade First

Orichalcum Location

The Orichalcum won’t appear in the cave unless you’ve already obtained the Faded Blade and spoken to all the key NPCs: the Swordsmith, Scholar, and Prisoner. Make sure to complete those steps first, or the sparkle in the cave won’t show up.
