Gae Bolg is only obtained after finishing the Amber Sun quest. To unlock this quest, you'll have to have killed all of the Children of the Danu.

To complete this quest, you must defeat the mythical Balor.

How to Get Gae Bolg?

Find Each Children of the Danu

Assassin

In order to unlock the quest Amber Sun, players must kill all of the Children of the Danu – a shadowy organization of Druids that has infiltrated all of Ireland.

They are similar gameplay-wise to the Order of the Ancients.

Simply find clues to the Children of the Danu and hunt them down. Some children can only be found through the story.
