The map is a fog-ridden forrest, with a center clearing accessible thorugh a clear road from the starting position going south, then east around the forest, or by going through the north of the forest.
North of the map, there's a fortress with a Ballista and Stronghold in the middle.
In the north, there's a stronghold and a ballista. If your Marianne isn't tanky, which is more likely than not, you can keep her alive a bit easier by having her stay at the stronghold, and deal more damage using the ballista if she has the appropriate bow skill. Do note, however, that this will make it take longer for your main force to reach her.
As with every fog mission, bring a lot of torches. There's a lot of enemies in the northern forest so if you head to Marianne from there make sure to light the way.
The dense forest is a good way across, but hard to navigate for cavalry. If you want to take cavalry to Marianne, take the southern road.
Every enemy is a beast, so having gambits and anti-monster weapons will be really useful in this mission, especially against the Wandering Beast.
All that the Wandering Beast leaves behind is the Blutgang, the hero relic of the 11th Elite, Maurice. Back in the monastery, after Marianne's name is cleared, she offers you the relic in gratitude.
