Bad Ending Requirement Summary
Avoid the Red Capsules and Get the Agura no Hotei-sama
The Bad Ending can be unlocked with the following requirements:
- Do not take any Red Capsules throughout the story.
- Do not obtain the Sacred Sword. If you have, purify it.
- Obtain the Agura no Hotei-sama
Following these conditions will unlock the Bad Ending route, leading to the Fox's Wedding conclusion. Be cautious, as its requirements closely mirror those of the Good Ending. The main difference is that you must either avoid or purify the Sacred Sword and obtain the Agura no Hotei-sama.

Don't Take the Red Capsules
To get the Bad Ending, do not consume Red Capsules for restoring Health or Sanity. Instead, rely on safer consumables like Bandages or offerings like Ramune.
Purify or Do Not Obtain the Sacred Sword
For the Bad Ending, you must either skip obtaining the Sacred Sword or purify it if already acquired. This choice separates Fox’s Wedding from the Good Ending, which requires keeping the sword unpurified.
How to Purify the Sacred Sword
You Should Still Get the Sacred Sword
While not required, we recommend obtaining the Sacred Sword for its combat usefulness in the earlier chapters. Just make sure to purify it before you enter the Shimizu Residence in Chapter 10. Otherwise, you may accidentally get locked out of the Bad Ending.

The most important requirement for the Bad Ending is acquiring the Agura no Hotei-sama. This item is only available in New Game Plus, found inside the Hermitage of Crimson Water within the Dark Shrine Main Hall.
The Agura no Hotei-sama is exclusive to the Bad Ending and locks your playthrough into the Fox’s Wedding conclusion once collected, provided you’ve also met the other two conditions.

Fox's Wedding: Hinako Accepts Her Fate as a Wife
The Bad Ending in Silent Hill f, called Fox’s Wedding, depicts Hinako accepting her tragic fate. In this ending, she rejects Shu’s help and embraces the destiny forced upon her by her parents, symbolizing her surrender to despair and becoming a faceless bride.
The post-credits scene reinforces this outcome, showing Hinako as a monstrous bride whose torn-off face reveals endless screams for help, pleading that she does not want to be like her mother. This haunting imagery captures the potentially shackling tendencies of women in unhappy marriages, pushing the themes of identity loss, sacrifice, and the suffocating expectations of her family.
