How to Get All Inventory Size Upgrades

  1. Shoulder Bag (Ebisugaoka Fields (Fog Town))
  2. School Bag (Ebisugaoka Middle School)
  3. Dirty Drawstring (Main Hall)
  4. Furoshiki (Shimizu Residence)
  5. NG+: Packing Tips (Ebisugaoka)
  6. NG+: Embroidered Drawstring Bag (Corridors)

There are a total of 6 items that can upgrade your inventory size, 2 of which can only be obtained through New Game+.

Shoulder Bag Found in Ebisugaoka Fields (Fog Town)

The Shoulder Bag is the first inventory increasing item that can be found near the area at the very start of Ebisugaoka Fields (Fog Town) during Chapter 3. From where you start in the chapter, follow the road that leads east for a bit until you find a path to the north.

Take that path, turn left, and continue. At the end of the path, you will encounter two enemies. Fend them off and head around the tree to find a wooden box. On top of it will be the Shoulder Bag.

The School Bag can be found inside the third locker of the locker room in Ebisugaoka Middle School. You can open this by finding the code to the locker, but you can also simply input the code 505 to unlock it immediately.

Dirty Drawstring in the Main Hall

The Dirty Drawstring can be found in the Dark Shrine Main Hall during Chapter 9. You'll be able to access the area where the item is after the second ritual cutscene and obtaining the Bestial Form.

Furoshiki in Shimizu Residence III

You can find the Furoshiki inside a bloody kitchen in the Shimizu Residence III. From the entrance, head to the end of the hallway and keep turning left until you make a huge U-turn. At the end of the hallway all the way to the south, you'll find a room where the Furoshiki is located.

You can find Packing Tips at the Shimizu Residence, southeast of the First Shrine you've interacted with. The item is locked inside a room, which you'll need a key to open.

The key is in the room upstairs, inside a box in the corner of the room. You can then use that key to open the Balcony and access the room next door. You can find the Packing Tips inside the room, in a wooden box on top of the desk.

For the final upgrade, you'll need to get the Embroidered Drawstring Bag, found in the Dark Shrine Corridors. You can get there as early as the start of the Chapter.

Just head north and keep taking the path to the west. You'll eventually reach a room you can now open. Inside, you can find the Embroidered Drawstring on top of a box.

How to Increase Inventory Size

Increases Automatically on Pickup

Silent Hill f - Inventory Expanded
You'll automatically increase your Inventory space the moment you pick up the item that allows it to do so. To get the maximum inventory space, you'll need to collect a total of 4 items from your first playthrough and then an extra 2 that are only obtainable in New Game+.

Get the Fervent Collector Achievement

Increasing your inventory size to its maximum limit by collecting all of the related items will reward you with the bronze trophy, Fervent Collector.
