Who is Rinko?
Friend of Hinako and Shu
Nishida Rinko is a mutual friend of Shu and Hinako. Rinko loves following school rules while engaging in gossip. She also developed a crush on Shu, unbeknownst to him.
What Happened to Rinko?
Rinko in Dark Shrine Worship Hall
Rinko appears in Dark Shrine Worship Hall locked behind the cage, where Hinako drops her in the molten lava. Prior to her implied death, she mentions Hinako betraying Shu, likely due to her marriage with Fox Mask.
After this event, Rinko no longer appears in the story until the Dark Shrine Main Hall.

Rinko reappears in the Dark Shrine Main Hall as the Rinko-Like Entity during Hinako and Fox Mask's wedding. After her defeat, Hinako states that she's glad that she and Rinko have finally aired out their grievances towards each other.

| One of my friends. She's really put-together, but can be a little inflexible in how she does things sometimes. Once she's set her mind to something, that's it. And recently, that something seems to be clothes, fashion, and other “womanly pursuits.” Rinko once confessed to me that she had a crush on Shu. I told her that I was all for it, but if she can't get used to the idea of rolling around in the dirt and catching insects for fun, she might have a tough time. Rinko is earnest and works really hard, but she also tends to get a little too caught up in her own ways of seeing things. Once she's come to a conclusion in her head, it can be like pulling teeth to convince her otherwise. Although we're the best of friends now, we've had two or three huge fights in the past that ended with us not speaking to each other for weeks and weeks. I'm sure we'll end up fighting again in the future. But even if we do, I know we'll be able to make up again. Rinko is always asking whether Shu and I are an item. I tell her every time that we're not, but she never seems to buy it. I heard a rumor that Rinko was gossiping about me behind my back. I suppose love can tear apart even the closest of friends. I don't know what to do... |
