|
Healing build is the safest build, especially recommended for exploration. It focuses on having multiple sources of healing boosted by Sakura to ensure Hinako's health is kept high.
The Boar Omamori in this build is for extra safety, but may be exchanged for more offensive options such as Hawk or Bull.

Serpent Will automatically perform a Counter when the visual hint appears, but consumes Max Sanity when activated. When equipping, Sanity will also recover at a slower rate.
Swordfish After countering an attack, Stamina will not be consumed for a set time.
Swallow Performing a Counter without using Focus increases damage inflicted. Stacks up to 5 times and resets when damage is taken.
Beetle Greatly increases damage inflicted to stunned enemies.
Mantis Slightly restores Health after each successful Counter.
|
This build heavily focuses on Serpent's auto counter and maximizing damage dealt while the enemy is stunned. Mantis may be exchanged for Hound to manage Sanity more comfortably.

Suzuran Perfect Dodges become easier to perform.
Rabbit Press Heavy Attack immediately after performing a Perfect Dodge to deal a powerful Counter. This Counter greatly consumes Stamina.
Swordfish After countering an attack, Stamina will not be consumed for a set time.
Beetle Greatly increases damage inflicted to stunned enemies.
Mantis Slightly restores Health after each successful Counter.
|

Willow Enhances the effects of items and Omamoris that restore Sanity.
Hound Slightly restores current Max Sanity after defeating enemies.
Dolphin Slightly restores current Max Sanity after a Perfect Dodge.
Crow Slightly restores Health after defeating enemies.
|
The Tanuki build capitalizes on Sanity's mechanic of automatically restoring to full when Focus hasn't been used for some time. It allows Hinako to maximize safety in combat by having two health bars.
Note that this build penalizes using Focus Attacks, as it uses Sanity as a second health bar.

Spider Greatly decreases weapon durability consumption from performing Light Attack.
Wolf Deals additional damage when using weapons with high durability. Effective only for weapons with durability.
Weasel Greatly increases damage dealt by normal attacks, but Hinako will no longer be able to stun enemies.
Otter Restores spare weapons' durability upon defeating an enemy.
Boar Greatly increases Stamina recovery speed and greatly shortens Out of Breath duration.
|
The Light Attack build focuses on spamming attacks in combat, maximizing the damage buff from Wolf and Weasel, further supported by Spider and Otter to upkeep weapon durability.
Note that this build loses power in the Dark Shrine as weapons available in the area have no durability, losing Wolf's damage buff.

Hawk Greatly decreases Focus charging time.
Owl Greatly decreases Sanity consumption while using Focus.
Crab Weapon durability will not decrease while using Focus.
Hound Slightly restores current Max Sanity after defeating enemies.
