The orientation combination of the different photos in the room vary based on the ending being progressed. The upright photos represent the people Hinako values the most, while the upside down photos are the ones she chose to forget, may it be herself.
This is also indicated in who is blurred out in the picture with everyone in the frame.

Located in Shimizu Residence II
Hinako's Portrait can be found in Shimizu Residence II. You can find it inside the right-most room past the long hallways.
Ominous Photo Puzzle Location
Located in Shimizu Residence
The Ominous Photo Puzzle can be found in Shimizu Residence I. Locate it by entering a series of rooms in the middle section of the floor until you get to a closed room with hanging photos of Hinako's loved ones.
Ominous Photo Puzzle Rewards
White Bird and Fox Crest
Completing the puzzle rewards you with the White Bird and Fox Crest, found behind the large picture frame the blurred people. This item will be used for the My Room Puzzle to unlock Hinako's room.
