The Cage Puzzle requires finding the Forward-Facing Fox Crest, Leftward-Facing Fox Crest, and the Rightward-Facing Fox Crest in the western chamber of Dark Shrine Worship Hall.
This requires navigating the area by switching the colors on the Inari Statues, identical to the statues encountered in the Door Puzzle.
Cage Puzzle Guide
1. Find the Forward-Facing Fox Crest
After entering the western chamber, switch the statue to the left of the Hokora to green and enter the southern hallway, then turn right. Continue until the end of the corridor, then turn right and enter the room. Switch the statue to white, then return to the hallway.
Turn left at the first instance and follow the path to reach the classroom. Interact with the blue lamp, then check the desk to find the Forward-Facing Fox Crest. Return to Rinko's cage to fit the fox crest in the device.
2. Find the Leftward-Facing Fox Crest
Return to the Hokora in the western chamber and switch the left Inari Statue to white and the right Inari Statue to blue. Enter the northern hallway, then head southward to enter the southern room.
Interact with the blue lamp and defeat the Shackled Monster that appears afterwards. Head to the western section of the room and examine the shelf to find the Leftward-Facing Fox Crest behind the candy jar. Return to Rinko's cage once more to slot in the fox crest.
3. Find the Rightward-Facing Fox Crest
Return to the western chamber and head to the Hokora, then set the left Inari Statue to green and the right Inari Statue to red. Enter the southern hallway and turn right, then head to the northernmost room.
Interact with the blue lamp on the desk to change the scenery. At Story Difficulty, examine the red doll to find the Rightward-Facing Fox Crest, or the blue doll in Hard Mode. Exit the room to return to the cage, then slot the fox crest to complete the puzzle.
Cage Puzzle Location
Located in Dark Shrine Worship Hall
The Cage Puzzle can be found in Dark Shrine Worship Hall after completing the Light Puzzle. Use the White Rabbit Emblem Key in the Grand Hall to open the first door, then interact with the left Inari Statue to unlock the western chambers where the puzzle is located.

Cage Puzzle Rewards
Tri Scale Emblem Key
Completing the Cage Puzzle rewards the Tri Scale Emblem Key. This can be used on the left Inari Statue to access the innermost room of the Worship Hall.
Access to Memories Puzzle
The Tri Scale Emblem Key acquired from completing the Cage Puzzle opens the door to the inner room of the Worship Hall, where the Memories Puzzle is located.
