Silent Hill f Best Difficulty Settings

Story Mode for Classic Silent Hill fans

Silent Hill f Story Mode

The Story Mode difficulty for action features the classic Silent Hill experience. The difficulty focuses on the atmosphere and horror aspect reminiscent of old Silent Hill titles, pivoting less on the action and combat. Puzzles will have hints that are easy to determine as well, allowing players to focus on the game's world building and narrative.

Hard Mode for Action Fans

Silent Hill f Hard Mode

Hard Mode in Action leans towards the combat aspect of the game, featuring harder fights and encounters. As the game focuses on melee combat, Hard Mode creates a more thrilling experience for action fans mixed with the horror and puzzles of the Silent Hill franchise.

For Puzzles, the Hard Mode difficulty is home for fans of the traditional Silent Hill puzzles. Hints are more subtle than in Story Mode, requiring more observation and critical thinking to solve.

Lost in the Fog for Hardcore Fans

Lost in the Fog Difficulty

Lost in the Fog is the third and highest difficulty available in the game. This difficulty is only available for Puzzle, which means the highest difficulty that players can set for Action is Hard.

Puzzles at this difficulty rely mostly on the journal hints with little to no visual support

Can You Change Difficulty Settings?

Difficulty Cannot Be Changed

Difficulty cannot be changed in Silent Hill f. The difficulty chosen before starting the game is permanent until the game is completed.

This is nonsense. One of the selling point is exactly that you CAN change difficulty mid game. Stupid article.
