The correct Ema remains consistent in each difficulty, though its location will vary depending on your playthrough. They can generally be found hanging on one of the three Ema rack spots along the western and southern areas of the Shrine Path, on the opposite side of the Shrine Vault.
The Combination Lock Dial's location is also the third Ema you will see in your playthrough. It will be required to fix the vault lock and unlock the door of the Shrine Puzzle.

To extoll the advent of our clan, we bestow upon this sacred land the name "Heaven's Benediction." Send forth to the sky a crane, to the earth, a serpent, and to the spring, a tortoise. Pray for the prosperity of our clan. |
||
Look for the Crane, Serpent, and Tortoise Ema scattered across the map. As for the missing dial required for the padlock, you can find it on the last Ema you search for.

Lightning casts down from the heavens split asunder the the decayed tree. From the earth grows kudzu, the prophet of eternal prosperity. |
||
On Hard difficulty, the correct Ema to look for are the Lightning and Decayed Tree, along with one depicting the Japanese plant Kudzu. The Kudzu Ema is a japanese herb that blooms flowers, which is what you need to look for throughout the Dark Shrine Path.

To those corrupted souls who dare encroach upon our sacred land, may you be met with calamity and destruction. The Yokai of the Carriage had their heads removed. The Yokai of the Umbrella, their arms. And the Yokai of the Kettle, their legs. Only the losses of each shall purify this corruption. |
||
Search for the correct Ema depicting the Yokai of the Carriage, Yokai of the Umbrella, and Yokai of the Kettle. These will stand out from the rest as they feature Japanese monsters merged with the objects in their names. Flipping each Ema reveals four symbols, but only one is correct, verified by the poem in your journal which you'll have to decipher.
To solve the poem, cross-reference each yokai painting on the correct Ema with the body part it needs removed. Count how many of those body parts the yokai has, then count across their corresponding four symbols in your journal from left to right. The symbol where the count ends is the correct one. For example, the Yokai of the Carriage has two heads, so the second symbol is correct.

The Shrine Vault can be found in the Dark Shrine Path after following Fox Mask around the area.
Dark Shrine Path Walkthrough and Guide

Once you unlock the Shrine Vault, the Stone Key can be found resting on top of the altar. This will trigger a short cutscene with the Fox Mask before your encounter is cut-off by monsters outside the vault.

After claiming the Stone Key, you can head to the Shrine exit found at the north side of the map. Take the right path to go directly to the exit, avoiding enemies along the way.

Once you complete the Shrine Vault, you will return to Ebisugaoka where you will be reunited with Shu. This will also unlock the Fields area of the map, where you will be searching for Rinko.
