This is a full Alleyways (Fog Town) walkthrough for Silent Hill f. See a guide on how to catch up to Shu and Rinko, how to cut through the alleyways, exploring New Game+ content and more here!

After the incident at Rinko's place, the group proceeds to go through Shu's house, but you will be forced to backtrack the town earlier. Go south towards the diagonal path heading to the town's alleyways.

Once near the town, head through one of the alleyways to meet with Shu and Rinko. After a cutscene plays, the main road rightwards from your map opens. Do not head left any further and go to said main road— you will be clued-in on the right direction when Hinako notes that the path is now open.
Travel the roads further going into more alleyways directly south of the river on your map, leading to the same junction Hinako drops at earlier in the game, but now you will have to go through the stairways near an altar and slip through another previously locked alley, entering a house in the process.

Looking at your map during exploration will update several blocked areas with an X symbol as well as the fog being cleared through them. This can be used as a guide to find the correct way out of the foggy alleyways.

Once in the house, you will have to head outside to meet Shu and Rinko. Open a room on the opposite end of the house (as indicated in the map) with a Vomiting Monster inside then dash away to reach the window and jump out.

Follow the trail outside the house to reach a Shrine where you can offer items or boost your character. Continue the linear path after the shrine to find Shu and Rinko waiting. There will be a cutscene that plays afterwards, changing your objective.
All Hokora Shrine Locations: How to Save

Once done with the cutscene, continue the route till you reach another linear section but be wary as always, as there will be more enemies that will ambush you through the fog. We advise avoiding confrontation to not waste resources on combat.
Another cutscene plays with Shu and Rinko as you catch up and see the middle school. However, they notice the gate is locked. The chapter ends here as the group tries to enter the abandoned middle school.

For New Game+, towards the school, you will be able to pick up another journal for the Sacred Sword. Follow the usual linear path towards the school but look for a red barrel to the right to pick the journal up.

For New Game+, on the way to the school, detour to the south to the other end of the broken bridge to pick up a broken pair of Geta Sandals, this will be important as it is one of the items to be offered to a nearby Jizo Statue.

After picking up the Geta Sandal, head back a bit to a slightly dilapidated house to the east of the school, there will be another Jizo Statue where you can offer the Geta Sandal, putting you closer in getting the Sacred Sword.

On a New Game+ run, once you have done earlier prerequisites, instead of following the usual route to reach the house, head left to the Chizuruya General Store but be wary of the Ara-abare and Kashimashi blocking the road.
Go to the table in front of the store's door and collect the UFO and movie review notes. This will abruptly end your run and you will be greeted by Silent Hill's signature UFO Ending.

There will be other radio broadcasts you can find in Ebisugaoka at various locations in New Game+ but you will only need the first broadcast from Chapter 1 to get the ending.
Ebisugaoka Walkthrough and Guide

After finding the first movie poster in Chapter 3, the 2nd movie poster can be located stuck to a wall at the southeastern region of Ebisugaoka town's residential alleyways. Remember that the order you find these posters is crucial in unlocking the ending!

Locate the 3rd movie poster back at the alleyways explored earlier, posted on the facade of a house, overlooking a bicycle behind Chizuruya General Store. This is the 3rd poster you must see so take note of that!
If done correctly, you should be able to properly unlock the ending when you head back to the General Store, which is now nearby.
Make sure to collect all the related items indicated before reaching the River House and going through the window as you will not be able to backtrack these collectibles anymore.
Make sure to prepare a save if you're trying to get the collectibles mentioned to avoid restarting the game from the very start if you want to get this ending.

These are all of the enemies you can encounter through the dark corners of the Alleyways (Fog Town). Do note that none of them are required to be taken out to proceed, so it is best to avoid them to not waste items.

During your New Game Plus Chapter 5, before you reach the mountain behind Ebisugaoka Middle School, go to the hidden path by the school entrance.
At the end of that path are some wooden planks and a box containing the Broken Japanese Geta Sandal.
