This is a guide on how to speedrun Silent Hill f. See the different tips and tricks on how to quickly speedrun the game here!
List of Contents

Starting a New Game+ run allows you to retain your previously collected Faith, Omamoris, stat upgrades and other items that will boost your character. You will also be provided new unlockables and collectibles that you can use to your advantage.
Only in this mode can you also access the UFO Ending, which is the fastest route you can take to quickly finish the game.

You can set the difficulty of your Puzzles and Action (Combat) both to Story Mode. This makes certain bosses and enemies easier to kill and also makes puzzles easier to remember.
Difficulty Differences and Best Settings

The fastest way to officially finish your Silent Hill f run is getting the requirements to trigger the UFO Ending, which only needs listening to one radio broadcast in Chapter 1 and collecting three posters in Chapter 3 and Chapter 5.
This ending cuts your playthrough time, which is usually a full 12-20 hours, down to at least an hour or two, maybe even less!

Should you have New Game+ 2 unlocked, you can make forced combat sections in Ebisugaoka even faster with the PP-8001's versatility. You can also stun enemies with its Charged Mode, allowing you to escape some fights if you're stuck in one.
How to Get PP-8001 (Alien Weapon)

The quickest way to finish the game is to just outright sprint out of combat and dodge whatever enemies you can avoid. This will save massive time in progressing the game.
If there are enemies blocking crucial junctions, you can run near them and then do a dash to force your character to go through them.

Whenever there is a cutscene that is skippable, press your Skip button to quickly get out of the cutscene and gain movement, reducing your idle time and allowing you to progress faster.

While you are advised to save in Hokora Shrines around the map, for this speedrun guide, we only advise saving if you are in important spots around the area to make your run faster. Better yet, avoid saving altogether as the game autosaves you at certain points.

Since this is a speedrun, you should never go for unnecessary detours and only focus on the main areas needing to be accessed to progress as fast as possible.
If you're going for the UFO Ending, the only detours you will need to do is for the first UFO radio broadcast as well as the UFO Posters. You can mostly run through the objectives without going for side content.

One of the biggest time-savers is to remember the puzzle solutions that you will encounter in your run, which will change depending on the set puzzle difficulty. Always make sure to have a guide in hand as well just in case you forget!

SIlent Hill f's main progression is linear, with most main paths being a one-way route to the next objective. However, we advise you to memorize the different maps you will encounter throughout the game to find the most efficient roads to finish the run!

Remember to hold your Run button to always be on your fastest movement. If you're feeling confident, you can also use your dash to move fast in certain sections or when avoiding enemies.

Since you will be running away from most fights, we advise you to equip the Horse omamori to reduce your stamina consumption, allowing you to run further and dash more especially in crucial moments.
