To get the UFO ending, you'll have to complete your first playthrough of the game, then start another run in New Game Plus.
Afterwards, locate a UFO Broadcast, find all of the UFO movie posters in the correct order, then interact with the UFO movie review. Doing this will abruptly end the game early in Chapter 5, giving you a joke ending to the game.

There are three UFO Broadcasts in the game, but you only need to listen to the first one in Chapter 1 to get the UFO ending.
This UFO broadcast is hidden within a tight alleyway within the southern residential area of Ebisugaoka, before you reach the house with the bloody key. Listen to the full radio broadcast before continuing on your way.
Locate all 3 UFO movie posters within Ebisugaoka town, found during Chapter 3 and Chapter 5 of the game. It is important that you examine these posters in the correct order, as failing to do so will not trigger the joke ending correctly.
| UFO Movie Poster Locations | |
|---|---|
| 1 | ![]() Found during Chapter 3, at the side of a shed located east of the fields, before reaching the garden with the first Ara-Abare encounter. |
| 2 | ![]() Found during Chapter 5, stuck to a wooden fence with potted plants, at the southeastern region of Ebisugaoka town's residential alleyways. |
| 3 | ![]() Found during Chapter 5, posted on the facade of a house, overlooking a bicycle behind Chizuruya General Store. |

While still in Chapter 5 of the story, walk towards Chizuruya General store. Upon reaching it, you'll see the path in front of the store open into a wide road with an Ara-Abare and Kashimashi waiting.
Defeat them and interact with the flying saucer on the table outside of the store's entrance to trigger the UFO ending. Note that the ending will only trigger after you have listened to the UFO broadcast and looked at the movie posters in the correct sequential order.
Movie Review of The Great Space Invasion

The UFO Ending plays a retro comic-style slideshow, where Hinako, Shu, and Rinko joke about UFOs being the cause of Ebisugaoka’s emptiness. Sakuko arrives with her giant robot Shiromuku, claiming it can detect aliens. To prove they’re human, the girls expose each other’s embarrassing secrets, while Shu’s attempt backfires and earns him a beating.
They conclude that, even without finding UFOs, they’ve found a common enemy: Shu. Hinako’s parents appear, insisting she come home, and explain the UFOs were chased off by the town watch. As the trio heads home together, the scene pans upward to reveal a UFO piloted by a dog who playfully barks is they fly away.
Much like other mainline Silent Hill titles, The Great Space Invasion! Is a staple joke ending. This serves as a cheeky nod to longtime fans that offers a lighthearted break from the series’ typically grim and macabre tone.
