List of Contents

All Faith accrued from the previous playthrough carries over to New Game Plus. This allows Hinako to immediately pursue upgrades or draw Omamori at the Hokora with leftover currency, especially helpful when tackling higher difficulties in subsequent playthroughs.

Stats upgraded by Praying at the Hokora carry over to New Game Plus. Additionally, the stat upgrade cap is increased, allowing Hinako to gain higher Health, Stamina, Sanity, and equip more Omamori slots.

New Game Plus carries over all previously acquired Omamori. This allows starting a new playthrough with more powerful Omamori available at the start, aiding players attempting higher Action difficulties.

Certain Key Items, such as bags that increase inventory size and Ema used to upgrade stats, transfer to New Game Plus. This does not include Key Items related to story progression, such as the Stone Key and Stone Orb.

Documents and Journal entries unrelated to puzzles carry over to New Game Plus. Players are free to immerse themselves in the lore with documents collected in multiple playthroughs by reviewing them in the Journal.

There are a total of 12 unlockable documents that can be collected in New Game Plus. These documents usually provide clues for new endings, New Game Plus puzzles, or the game's lore!
There are 4 Endings that can be unlocked in New Game Plus. In addition to obtaining certain Key Items, all endings require avoiding consumption of red capsules during the playthrough except for the UFO Ending.

The Fox's Wedding ending is unlocked if players did not consume any red capsules, either purified or did not obtain the Sacred Sword, and acquired the Agura no Hotei-sama in their playthrough.
Fox's Wedding Ending and How to Get It

The Fox Wets Its Tail is unlocked if no red capsules were consumed during the run, and the Sacred Sword is kept unpurified during the playthrough.
Good Ending | The Fox Wets Its Tail

The fourth ending can only be unlocked after viewing 2 endings, including the Coming Home to Roost normal ending. Players must not take any red capsules during the playthrough, have purified the Sacred Sword, and have offered the Brooch to unlock this ending.
Ebisugaoka in Silence and How to Get It

The UFO Ending unlocks after listening to all the UFO radio broadcasts, found all 3 “The Great Space Invasion” posters in order after listening to the broadcasts, then located the “The Great Space Invasion” movie review after finding the movie posters.
There are two weapons available in the New Game Plus. Some of these are requirements for specific endings, while others are rewards for completing another ending!

The Sacred Sword can be unlocked after offering all 5 items to the Jizo Statues. Head to the Divine Tree southwest of Shu's house to acquire the weapon. Additionally, this weapon can be purified in the oldest Inari Shrine northeast of Shu's house.
If players did not consume any red capsules during the playthrough, that purifying the Sacred Sword locks the ending to either the Fox's Wedding or Ebisugaoka in Silence. Keeping it unpurified locks the player in the The Fox Wets Its Tail ending instead.

The PP-8001 or the Alien Weapon can be obtained after finishing the UFO ending in New Game+. The UFO ending will require you to find the UFO broadcast, all UFO movie posters, and a UFO movie review to get the ending.

The Shrew Mole omamori is only available in a New Game + run. It is found in the Dark Shrine Path, in an Inari box located in a new area south of the Shrine Vault.
New Game Plus features new bosses that can be encountered in the story. These bosses appear as the final boss in their respective endings.

Tsukumogami is encountered as the final boss in the Fox's Wedding ending. The boss initially fights with melee attacks and gap closers, then performs ranged attacks with a wide area of effect in the latter half of the fight.

Prepare to fight the Shichibi during The Fox Wets Its Tail ending as its final boss. The boss will summon pools of light and other enemies at the start.
Eventually, the Fox Mask will transform into a fox-like entity with a set of new deadly attacks.

The Kyubi will be one of the final bosses you have to defeat to get the game's True Ending! Note that you'll be fighting the Kyubi and the Tsukumogami at the same time, so prepare for an intense battle!

New Game Plus feature additional cutscenes during the story. The skip button at the bottom right indicates if the cutscene is new or not, allowing players to know when to skip cinematics seen in the previous playthrough.

Inari-sama Boxes can be found in Ebisugaoka and the Inari-sama Doors are located within the Dark Shrine. These can only be opened if the Brooch is present in the inventory, available immediately after starting New Game Plus.
All Inari-sama Door and Box Locations

New Game Plus playthroughs will have different solutions for puzzles regardless of difficulty. If the previous playthrough was in Hard Mode, starting an NG+ run at the same difficulty will still feature different hints and puzzle solutions.
