Beware Scarecrows

The Ayakakashi can disguise itself as a regular scarecrow before coming to life and attacking if Hinako gets too near. Be aware of any inanimate scarecrows in the area, and be ready to dodge or counter when you approach them.

Watch Your Distance

The Ayakakashi is a short-ranged monster, so kiting away after a few attacks is a good way to dodge its moves. Don't hesitate to retreat a far distance if you need to heal against it!

Ayakakashi Attacks and Move List

5-Hit Attack

The Ayakakashi charges up momentarily before performing five slashes. Both the charge-up and the delayed final slash have a counter window.

Upward Slash

The Ayakakashi brings its sickle down to the ground before rising upwards to slash.

Quick Cut

The Ayakakashi shifts its weight and sickle to once side before quickly slashing horizontally.

Downward Strike

The Ayakakashi raises its sickle overhead to bring it down in an attack, which can be countered. It can also use this to ambush Hinako while pretending to be a scarecrow.

Description
A moving scarecrow, or at least a monster that pretends to be a scarecrow.
It's dressed in old clothes and looks like a crucified corpse from far away. Contrary to its name, it scares more kids off than crows.
