FFXV Engaging the Empire Walkthrough

List of Objectives
1 FFXV_Noctis Imperial Fort_story walkthrough Noct receives a call from Cindy, who says that the Regalia has been found. However, it is located in an Imperial base.
2 The Imperial Army has overtaken an old fortress and taken the Regalia to it. Pitch camp at Sothmocke Haven to plan an attack.
3 FFXV_Infiltration_story walkthrough At dawn, the party decides to infiltrate the camp. Make your way inside the base.
4 FFXV_Noctis sneaking_story walkthrough Follow Ignis to plot a safer route inside the base. Move slowly and surely while taking out soldiers using Warp-Kill.
5 Once you reach the Regalia, a Magitek MA-X Maniple will appear. Take it out to move through the quest.
6 The area will become overrun with Imperials. Focus on taking them out one at a time to reach your main goal, the destruction of the generator.
7 Once you've cleared the area of Imperials and MA-X walkers, Luna's brother, Ravus, will make an appearance.
8 FFXV_Regalia moving_story walkthrough After the conversation, you'll be welcome to ride the Regalia again. Reach Iris in Lestallum. This will usher in the next Chapter.

Tips and Strategies

This is a list of important things to do in the quest Engaging the Empire. Read on to find out which of them is crucial to proceeding.

  • Noct won't get a penalty if he fails to warp-kill soldiers, but he will definitely have a harder time moving around the base
  • Focus on the Maniple's legs! It will become vulnerable and topple over. Do the same whenever faced with an Imperial walker.
  • Use the big guns in the base. Go for the parked tanks--their explosion will help clear the area in a hurry.
  • There are point-warp markers scattered about the base. Use these to quickly make your way through.
