How to Get Rare Coins

  • Altissia
  • Zegnautus Keep

Random Locations on the Map

Rare coin

Aside from the given locations above, rare coins are also found just lying on the ground while you travel. Be sure to pick up every shining object that you will see for a chance to get a rare coin.

If you do not mind spending some time farming for rare coins, you can save before looting the shining object then reload if it is not a rare coin. The probability is low so it may take a while.

Gladiolus's Survival Skill

Gladiolus has a chance to pick up items after every battle. Starting at Level 3 Survival Skill, Gladiolus may start picking up rare coins. Its probability is also low so it may take a few battles. Check out the guide below to know how to increase Gladio's skill level!

How to Use Rare Coins

You can use rare coins to efficiently farm EXP. If you craft a spell with an element and rare coins, the result wil be an Expericast.
