The Hand of the King - Story Walkthrough and Guide

FFXV The Hand of the King Walkthrough

List of Objectives
1	After arriving at the station, search for the entrance to the Mines. Follow the quest marker to find the elevator going down to the Mines.
2	Once you've gone down to the Mines, head for its deeper parts. Watch out for a pack of Lv.29 Gurangatches at the front of the Mines
3	There is a huge engine of sorts blocking the way. Inspect its control panels to find a way for it to run.
4	The mine boring machine will stall when you fire the controls up. Look for the generator key, which will turn on the backup generators.
5	Follow the markers until you reach the shed. You'll come across a group of Lv30 Snagas. Defeat them to proceed
6	The key will be lying on an old box near the shed. Take it and go.
7	Follow the markers until you reach the shed.
8	Once you've activated all the generator switches, go back to the control panel to activate it. Watch out for a respawn of Lv29 Gurangatches guarding the control panel.
9	The way to the Tomb is clear once the machine is activated. Gladio and Noctis will quarrel again, but this will add to Noctis' strength once he gets riled up
10	Go all the way to the entrance of the Kings' tomb, where there are eggs. A Wild Malboro will appear
11	Keep piling damage on the Malboro, using elemental and weapon advantages.
12	Enter the tomb once you've defeated the Malboro. Go back to the train once you've gained the tomb sword.

Tips and Strategies

• Ignis suffered injuries to his eye during the last battle. It would be good for the party to proceed at a slower pace
• However, being blind doesn't hamper him at the slightest, as the battle with the Malboro introduces a new, better Libra attack. Use it in future battles.
• Proceeding at a slower pace also makes sure that Noct has all the help he can get against enemies.

Lv 38 Malboro

• weak to fire and weapon advantages
• susceptible to greatsword damage
• will spawn a party of Lv38 Malboro sprouts
• acts like the standard Malboro, which will inflict status conditions like Poison and Sap.
• Ignis will learn Libra Elementia here, when he attacks the Malboro.
