This is a guide for skill levels in Final Fantasy XV. Read on to learn about the methods of increasing the skill levels of each party member and more!
List of Contents
Each of the party members have their own unique skill and each of them requires a different method to level up. SP (or skill points) are earned by doing skill-specific tasks and certain skill levels unlock different effects.
Noctis increases the level of his Fishing skill by catching fishes on fishing spots located all over the map. The amount of SP obtained depends on the rarity and size of the fish.
Since the SP gained depends on the rarity and size of the fish, it is recommended to use the best fishing equipments available and aim for fishing spots with rarer and larger catch.
Gladiolus gains SP for his skill by traveling on foot
Since walking is the only way to level up this skill, keep traveling around by foot and only use the Regalia or any type of fast travel if necessary or if you do not have a lot of time on your hands.
Camping and lodging gives the player opportunity to have Ignis prepare a dish for the team. Ignis gains SP for each dish prepared.
The amount of SP gained from each dish depends on the rarity of the recipe and its ingredients so always try choosing dishes that are difficult to discover and obtain rarer ingredients.
Prompto will take pictures of your adventures all throughout the game and each photo taken gives him SP. Photo Ops anad group pictures give more SPs.
Prompto will passively take pictures as you progress. You can supplement this by participating in photo op sidequests that are triggered while you travel around significant locations.
You can also use the Snapshot ascension ability in battle to take more photos. Equipping the camera strap accessory increases the maximum number of photos that can be taken in one day by 5.
