How to Unlock Regalia Type-F

★ Game8's Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Wiki is live now!

This is a guide for unlocking the Regalia Type-F in Final Fantasy XV. Read on to learn about the process of changing the Regalia to Type-F!

How to Unlock Regalia Type-F

Finish the Main Story

To unlock the Regalia Type-F, you must first finish the main story, save the game when prompted, and load the cleared file from the main menu.

Loading the cleared file will move you to Chapter 15, which contains post game contents like the Regalia Type-F

Obtain the Regalia Type-F Components

After loading the save file, you should now collect the components needed (if you have not collected them yet) for the Regalia Type-F.

Take note that you can obtain the all 3 components even before finishing the story.

Components are found and obtained in Imperial Bases after you beat the boss inside. The boss will drop the component so there is no need for you to roam around the base to find it.

Item Location
Warped Wings Aracheole Stronghold
Unstable Stabilizer Fort Vaullerey
Strange Engine Formouth Garrison

The Warped Wings and Unstable Stabilizer are found on locations that you visited during the main storyline quests. The Strange Engine is found during the sidequest Formouth Garrison.

Fort Vaullerey

Aracheole Stronghold

How to Get to Formouth Garrison

Formouth Garrison is found on the upper right part of Leide. You must have seen it already as you are driving around that part.

It will start a sidequest which requires you to infiltrate the base and defeat the boss. Defeating the boss will reward you with the Strange Engine.

Into Unknown Frontiers

If you have all 3 components and moved on to Chapter 15, a sidequest from Cindy titled Into Unknown Frontiers will start. Finish the quest by talking to Cindy and have her install the components that you have collected.

You will now have the option to change the Regalia to Type-F which gives it the ability to fly and explore new areas!
