The dodge materia thingy is broken. Not a combo but wth was that.
Pretty bad with names but there's this materia that if linked to magic materias, will allow those magics to be cast as AOE.
These combos sucks. Its like the game is telling you which can only go where now. Wheres the fun on exploring weird quirks for materias like linking command counter to mime while mime mimics a KOTR with HP absorb?
I think we just have to wait for other parts of the game. We only have materias from midgar anyway. Not a lot to work with.
Anyone elae thinking that the mp absorb materia is kinda meh? Anynother ways to replenish mp in this game? (Aside from ether)
Yeah. Checked out the materia list on this site just to see if I missed some things. Turna out we just reall doesnt have much to work with. Hell, even making summons exclusive to bosssfights already limited a lot of things.
The only real combos you can do now are with support, command, and magic materias. Independent materias are meh and the summons, I... well you know boss fight exclusive.
Materia combinations are really lacking. Wish this gets expanded in the later parts. This is one of the most addictive part of the original.
You can try the deadly dodge materia partnered with hp absorb for that coward playstyle (dodge and suck)
Not really a materia combo but partnering the accessory you get from pride and joy plus a first strike materia allows you to launch an offensive move against the enemy and easily follow it up with a limit break.
They made a page about this. So to anyone that might check this thread out, here's the link and their set up makes sense. ( altho nothing unique to it, just a standard optimal build).
