Thanks for this! I couldn't follow everything 100% due to my armor on Aerith and Tifa only having 3 slots. Aerith had the elemental+ice duo since Shiva isn't that hard. Even with barrier, Leviathan's attacks hurt Aerith more so I let Cloud tank some of the hits. And Cloud got the elemental+fire combo. I prioritized killing Bahamut first, making Ifrit very easy. But Pride and Joy was hard and Tifa died often. Aerith's cure+magnify was a gamechanger, why haven't I been using that?! Thank you!
I just want to say I could kiss you. I haven’t played the game in over a year because I was over it. Found this guide, did a little AP farming, and beat it on the first try like a cake walk. Thank you, you wayward soul. Platinum trophy here I come
Helped me alot with the bahamut fight. Managed to take him down before ifrit and the rest was a cakewalk
Thank you sooo much! I followed this to the T and I did it in two tries! I had to go the coliseum and spam it to max out my elemental. But it was so worth it. Manawall is literally what saved me on Bahamut.
Try being really aggressive towards Bahamut (Tifa or Clouds strong attacks plus Thundaga spells) and try to keep high health with healing - don't let health go too low.
I now have Platinum trophy and 100% completion. Had to assess Ifrit and Pride & Joy as forgot to assess them first time. Hardest thing for me was the pro pull up challenge.
Usefull guide,but that bahamut 😶😶 i still cant beat him.i get beaten realy quick in the battle.
Just beat it tonight and got the last trophy I needed for the full set...phew! I used the general weapon/materia layout but made a couple adjustments based off playing style and a little trial and error... - I switched Ice/Fire between Aerith and Cloud. - No ATB Stagger, parry, or time materia - Revive on Cloud, Healing on Tifa. Don't need both - Max out on HP Plus (and MP for Aerith) as much as possible. Overall this guide helped a lot but each player is different so adjust as you need to.
I forgot to equip Barrier materia and the only thing that got me through it was putting Revival Earrings on everyone. Mega Flare hit my entire party for 9999 but Barrett popped up and I was able to revive everyone and finish him off. Elemental Fire on armor was big but I wouldn't say instrumental. I summoned Shiva as soon as Ifrit showed up and that helped.
Man I can’t beat Bahamut, he summons Ifrit and it just beats me down. Tried a couple different Materia combos with 9999 health and Barret or Aerith. Grinding continues...
