Barret and Aerith are rarely in your party together. The suggestion is to essentially use their support interchangeably.
But the Magnify Materia doesn't respawn every time you replay the chapter so you can't have more than one

Yeah. Pray in ffx was mostly used to gain the healer overdrive mode easily but is also useless imo. Only character that could really use it was rikku mid-game with all the al-bhed potion you need to spam when yuna's not in your party.

Prayer was essentially free in FFX. To make it more powerful it would need a mp cost, or it would unbalance the game (though there is very little balance in FF games to begin with).
I dont remember pray healing that much in FFx. FFx, an extremely faith focused game. A faith focused game an pray heals like 200 hp. Seriously, whats wrong with this logic.
