    The second one comes from the Angel of the Slums card lying on the ground just before you climb the wall to go to chapter 15. I'm not sure what all you have to complete before it's there. I think you have to do all side quests. But when you pick up that card you get the second elemental

    Can confirm as well, I have 2 elemental materia, I know the first is in chapter 6, I cant remember when exactly i got the 2nd but I feel like it was between chapters 8-14 and involved wall market

    There are at least 2 of them one in chapter 6 and the other one I got later, but I don't remember where. Use one of these at level 3 with fire on armor for the final boss and you are golden

    Yeah, much more useful as a defensive materia rather than an offensive one. Some enemy summons have resistance to physical atacks which lessens this materia's effect.

    Just having this materia reach level 2 is enough to make summon battles way easier. Ice nullification against Shiva?
