I like the game play but I keep hearing things that square changed the story? Sorry, not familiar, first time playing FF7. I know it's a remake. So, they did change stuff. I see.

Was one of the people excited for the remake. After hearing how they botched the story, will probably just wait for part 2. Even if it takes years to develop.

And this is kind of a future thing but the way they made the game, the mechanics are clearly made for part 1 only. After leaving midgar, what happens to the mercenary quests? The vr battles? This is why Im skeptical with the part 2. They changed story and the game will have to adjust big time with all the features they added in part 1 not being carriable to part 2. Remember that returning to midgar will not happen soon after leaving and doesnt really give any merit in doing so.

Ff7 remake What I expected: much more fleshed out characters, some screen times to ambigious characters from the other ff7 spinoffs (remember Cissnei anyone?) What I got: some unknown soldier dudes , a bigtime geisha in midgar, some pretty girls and boys and some jockeys. And jessie flirting with cloud 24/7. AND HUGE STORY ALTERATIONS. CLEARLY IMPLYING KEY PLOT POINTS POSSIBLY NOT HAPPENING ANYMORE.

The game is good but the way they handled it, you can only really enjoy it if you played the original (which kinda beats their own statement that the game is both for old and new players alike)

Game is amazing but the ending is really questionable.
