There are three types of enemies you'll fight in this challenge excluding your target. There will be archers, regular sword and shield armed enemies, enemies armed with a flail and shield, and finally an enemy armed with a battleaxe.
You must kill these enemies by either parrying them until you can Stun Attack them, or weakening them first before using the Rush and Bash Ability to kill them.
10 Battle Energy per Medal | 2 Mastery Energy for Silver Medals 4 Mastery Energy for Gold Medals |
You can only gain the rewards once for the first time you earn a Medal. You can use these energies to buy items from Hildiran's Shop back in Ravensthorpe.
Rushing forward to new areas when you haven't cleared out an area you're already in will make enemies group up, making it much more difficult for you to manage crowds. Slowly go through each area to get enough Rush & Bash or Stun Attack kills.
When you intend to do a Rush & Bash attack, to make your sure your enemies die when using the ability, you must weaken them first. In particular, shielded enemies need to be weakened first in order to actually kill them when the Ability hits.
While Flail armed enemies are tricky to parry, you'll need to be able to do so successfully if you wish to complete all 8 Stun Attack kills. Though extremely difficult to do so, managing to knock off Flail armed enemies with a Stun Attack will save up your Rush & Bash Ability for other enemies.
The target will be found in a large chamber with four other enemies, but take note that this chamber leads further in containing more enemies. If you don't completely wipe the whole map with Stun Attacks and Rush and Bashes, you won't be able to get gold, so make sure to find the enemies behind the Target's area and kill them.
Your target for this trial is a Standard Bearer. There is no easy way to defeat it, but if you have enough uses for your Ability left, you can use Rush & Bash on him until he dies. Alternatively, you can simply parry his strikes and Stun Attack him like normal. Either method counts towards the kill count, so you can safely leave him for last or if you have ~800 points already.
