List of Place of Power Locations

This is a guide to Places of Power in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. If you want to learn the location of every Place of Power to draw from them, or you would like to know what places of power are used for, please read on.

What Are Places of Power?

There are a total of 30 Places of Power locations where you can draw power in the world of Witcher 3. Drawing power from Places of Power for the first time gives you 1 additional skill point and a temporary bonus buff for one of your signs. The bonus buff on your sign increases the sign's effectiveness during combat, which can be extremely helpful during tough fights.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Mill	From the Mill Signpost, head directly north until you reach the White Orchard Cemetery, where you can find the Place of Power in front of the Guarded Treasure entrance.

Sign: Aard Nearest Signpost: Mill	If you continue heading north after passing the Igni Place of Power from the Mill Signpost, you will encounter another Place of Power beside a Monster Nest surrounded by Ghouls.

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Cackler Bridge	On the far east side of White Orchard, you can find another Place of Power after you pass the Cackler Bridge. This Place of Power is also surrounded by Ghouls from the Monster Nest near the area.

Sign: Axii Nearest Signpost: Mill	From the Mill Signpost, go west until you pass the small wooden bridge. From there, continue going west, straight to the forest where you will find a Place of Power surrounded by Wolves.

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Broken Bridge	You can find another Place of Power by heading south of the Broken Bridge near the edge of the map.

Sign: Yrden Nearest Signpost: Abandoned Village	Head east of the Abandoned Village until you reach the Abandoned Site. From there, go directly south and you will find a Bear guarding the Place of Power.

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Lornuk	The Place of Power can be found at the bottom of the tower near Lornuk at the shore, surrounded by Drowners.

Sign: Yrden Nearest Signpost: Downwarren	This Place of Power can be found at the top of the tall mountain, just west of Downwarren.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Ancient Oak	This Place of Power can be found southeast of The Orphans of Crookback Bog. This is also the location where you will have to fight the werewolf during the main quest Whispering Hilock.

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Bald Mountain	This place of power can only be accessed during the main quest Bald Mountain before starting your battle with Imrelith.

Sign: Aard Nearest Signpost: Fyke Isle	This Place of Power can be found near the guarded treasure to the south of Velen, where you will fight a gargoyle in the swamp.

Sign: Yrden Nearest Signpost: Fyke Isle	The location of the Place of Power is inside of a cave that you can only access during the quest Wandering in the Dark with Keira Metz. The cave entrance can be seen directly west of Fyke Isle near the boat.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Electors' Square	This Place of Power can be found at the northwest edge of Novigrad, near the temple.

Sign: Axii Nearest Signpost: Vegelbud Residence	This Place of Power can be found on the top area of the rock formations, north of Vegelbud Residence.

Skellige Isles

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Yngvar's Fang	This Place of Power can be found at the peak of the mountain near Yngvar's Fang, in the northeast corner of Skellige Isles.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Ancient Crypt	This Place of Power can be found inside the room with the large hooded statue holding a shield in the Ancient Crypt.

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Bridge to Kaer Trolde	This Place of Power is found at the bottom section of the castle, and is available if you help Cerys during the King's Gambit* secondary quest.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Svorlag	This Place of Power can be found at the top of the mountain after following the path from the broken down house, northwest of Svorlag.

Sign: Axii Nearest Signpost: Crossroads	From Crossroads, head southwest until you see the shore with the destroyed boat. From here you can find the Place of Power surrounded by water.

Sign: Aard Nearest Signpost: Redgill	From Redgill, you will have to head north until you see the ruins guarded by a Cyclops. Once you kill off the Cyclopse, climb up the platforms until you reach the top, where you will find the Place of Power beside the Hidden Treasure.

Sign: Yrden Nearest Signpost: Druid Camp	This Place of Power can be easily found out in the open. Just head directly west of the Druid Camp and you can find the Yrden Place of Power.

Sign: Axii Nearest Signpost: Holmstein's Port	You can find the Axii Place of Power directly North of Holmstein's Port on the snowy mountains.

Sign: Yrdennl] Nearest Signpost: Harviken	This Place of Power can easily be found if you follow the path heading west from Harviken beside the grotto of the skelligers.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Lakeside Hut	This Place of Power can be spotted near the entrance of the north cave in Kaer Morhen. Just head directly north of the Lakeside Hut until you pass the lake area with Nekkers and reach the cave entrance.

Sign: Aard Nearest Signpost: -	This Place of Power can only be accessed during the quest Through Time and Space after entering the portal from the desert area with Avallac'h.

Sign: Quen Nearest Signpost: Teremes Palace Ruins	This Place of Power can be found near the Teremes Palace Ruins Signpost. From there, head north until you see the ruins and approach it on its left side. You should see a small entrance covered by the waterfalls. Enter the room and use your Aard on the destructable wall to access the Place of Power.

Sign: Igni Nearest Signpost: Fort Ussar Ruins	Head south from the Fort Ussar Ruins until you see the cave on the mini-map. Approach the cave and drop down from the cliff to reach the entrance leading to the Place of Power.

Sign: Aard Nearest Signpost: Hortense Vineyard	Go northwest from Hortense Vineyard until you reach a boat near the shore, from there you will see a small cliff near the water on your left. Approach the cliff and you will see the Place of Power.

Sign: Yrden Nearest Signpost: Trading Post	To find this Place of Power, you must directly head north from the Trading Post, passing the Hanse Base until you reach the swamp area with stone walls. This place is surrounded by different enemies, so expect a fight before you can draw from this Place of Power.

Sign: Axii Nearest Signpost: Beauclair Palace

This Place of Power can be really hard to find because of the multiple Monster Nests in the area. From Beauclair Palace, head north west until you reach the Monster Nest near the Abandoned Site. Get close enough to the Monster Nest to automatically trigger a Secondary Quest called Father Knows Worst, where you will have to fight against some Kikimore. Enter the Monster Nest and destroy the collapsable wall using Aard to your left. From there, you will be able to access the final Place of Power.

Places of Power Tips

Power Overwhelming Trophy

Having the temporary buff on all 5 of your signs at the same time will give you the achievement trophy Power Overwhelming.

Hidden Places of Power

Some Places of Power are only available or unlocked after doing a specific quests. Keep this in mind if you want to find all of the Places of Power and receive all the ability point bonuses.
