How to Fight Ghouls

How to Fight

When fighting Ghouls especially when they are in a group is to check whether an Alghoul is present. An Alghoul's scream can enrage the Ghouls and make them significantly more aggressive attackers. The best way to deal with Ghouls is to use different means to make them stop retreating after a few sword strikes.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Necrophage oil to deal bonus damage to them. Prepare bombs that can affect their movement like the Northern Wind Bomb or bombs that can damage enemies that are grouped together like the Grapeshot Bomb.

Special Sign Effects

  • Aard - If your Sign Intensity is high enough, this can knock them down and allow you to instant-kill them.
  • Igni - If your Sign Intensity is high enough, this can burn them to stop them from retreating after a few sword strikes.
  • Yrden - This can slow them down enough so you won't get swarmed by them.
