This guide will show you how to sell junk, as well as where you should sell it in the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Read on to learn more information about merchants and junk items.
List of Contents
The value of your item will differ between each merchant, and sometimes they will not even purchase the item because of its type. Make sure you are getting the most out of your items when selling them. Below is a list of all the best merchants that will purchase your items at a high price to maximize your profits.
You can sell your Glyphs and Armors to the Armorer on Heirarch Square inside Novigrad. This armorer will give you the best price when selling your Armors and Glyphs.
The Blacksmith Heirarch Square in Novigrad offers the best price for Runestones and Weapons in the game.
You can find a librarian named Marcus T.K Hodgson in Novigrad. He will buy all your books at a higher price than the rest. This is the best place to sell your books if you need extra space for your weight.
Junk items can be sold to the merchant wearing red at the middle of Heirarch Square in Novigrad. He will purchase all of your junk items for the best price to maximize your profit.
Food and Drink items are best sold to the Innkeeper found inside the Inn at the Crossroads, located at Velen. This location is the best place to sell your Food and Drink items, since the Inkeeper is guaranteed to offer the best price.
Alchemy Equipments will pile up quickly in your inventory if you do not manage it properly. You can sell this equipment to the Herbalist located at the south of Heirarch Square in Novigrad for maximum profit.
You will be able to pick up duplicates for trophies that you will not be needing. You can find the best place to sell your trophies on the north west side of Oxenfurt Gate in Novigrad.
You will not be able to sell any more items to shopkeepers and merchants if they do not have enough money to purchase them. You can see the amount of money they have on the upper left side corner of their tab. Also, some shopkeepers like blacksmiths, armorers, and herbalists will only buy items that fall under the same category of what they are selling.
Some items are more useful after being dismantled because of the crafting components they can provide, especially on items with a higher rarity. Items with higher rarity come with better crafting components after being dismantled, and these items are going to be important later in the game to get stronger, so it is often better to dismantle the junk instead of selling it as is.
